What is Love?

submitted by Linda F.
Most every one seeks it
From time to time
Is it something you touch
Or hold in your hand?
Can you see it
With your eyes open or shut?
Or taste it
On the tip of your tongue?
Can you hear it in your heart
Or sense it in your soul
Or smell it like a Rose?
What is Love and Why

You’re not the person I thought you were
Months ago I became attracted to you
I thought you had integrity,
Poise, Charm and a kind heart
You seemed the perfect match for me.
You’re not the person I thought you were

New Poetry

by A E De Laney
Hey Love

There’s a girl that pretends to read books,
There in that window
Just above the dog wood tree.
Down here on Bull Street,
Underneath the smell of wet towels,
I can’t help but stare
As I cradle cold coffee.
How impolite of me?
But, I can’t help but think,
There’s something keeping her away from bed,
Same something that draws [...]

My Soul Cries out for You

by Ladyhawke / Linda
Though the years I have caught glimpses of you
At times I thought I had met you
You invade my dreams, my waking thoughts
My soul cries out for you

My love for you grows….

by Patricia A. Reis
Every time I look in your eyes
See your beautiful smile
Then I realize…
My love for you grows….

My Source of Being

by Sam Wall
I am whole for

Sweep thru my body
lifting up my soul
I stoop to whisper words
of praise to flowers
in whom I find my Creator
Bees hover before me to
share and acknowledge my
spirit joined to theirs
I feel the winds
rushing thru the [...]

Fall Equinox

by Suzy Martin

Each day, the rain
beads on the giant
elephant ear plant
puddles in the drive,
street, in pot holes
everywhere, reflecting
the fickle sky
Here in the south
leaves trade places
with newer tough green ones
subtle changes in the heat
One would think, summer
is constant here/except
for the native eye that
glances change
Sunset at seven, soon
at six and it’s the darkness
and the cooler evenings
changing to [...]

I want to rescue you
from yourself
from the world

I want to rescue you
from your pain
from your sorrow

I want to rescue you
from the stress
from the rest

I want to rescue you
and love you
till vulnerability dissipates
and you feel safe in my arms.
